The NFT boom gave brands and creators a new way to transact directly with collectors — but the environmental cost of minting and trading on the blockchain has been a persistent criticism of the space. WavelengthNFT, launched through the Undercurrent.Army platform, was built as a response: a generative crypto art project designed with climate action built into its mechanics rather than bolted on afterward.

Undercurrent.Army positions itself as a platform for producing and distributing generative crypto art with a standing commitment to donate 10% or more of the proceeds from a successful project to climate action — an argument that, if crypto art is going to have real cultural staying power, that standard should become the norm for blockchain projects rather than the exception.
