With all the hype around AI - and with people stuck at home digesting AI hype behind their screens - it’s been our goal to get people to IRL events. To connect smart people, to share ideas, and to separate the hype from what’s actually happening on the ground.

A big thank you to our gracious sponsors LangChain & Arcade for this 1st event. A big thank you to all the attendees. And for folks who couldn’t make it or who were stuck on the waitlist: we see you and we’re hunting for a bigger venue for pt. 2.

So! What was the The Big Headline @ Agentic LA pt.1?

Making splashy AI Agent demos is easy. But getting AI Agents into production is hard.

Unless you have the right tools!

Lets get into some specifics from the event.

LangChain’s Jason Tozzi

Jason walked us through LangChain - the AI suite that’s quickly emerging as the Gold Standard for developing agents and agentic workflows. LangGraph Studio, LangSmith, Eval-driven development. There’s so much power in the LangChain suite.

🧠 One key idea: LangGraph lets you define the raw building blocks of reasoning and behavior, and the system figures out how to assemble them dynamically. It’s a powerful shift from rigid pipelines, to adaptable, state-aware workflows.

For teams building agents that need to reason, adapt, and coordinate, LangChain is setting the standard.

Arcade’s Alex Salazar

Alex walked us through how AI Agents can be (safely) granted access to resources like Slack, Gmail, and Hubspot.

🧠 One key idea: Protocols like MCP fall short in their endeavor to connect Agents to real life resources without the production-grade auth that Arcade supplies.

The “OPAL stack” (OpenAI, Python, Arcade, LangChain) is poised to become a standard for Agentic architectures.

Latticework’s Tim Shea

Our very own Tim Shea walked us through the emerging dark art of scoping and implementing Agentic projects, how Retail & DTC companies are leveraging Agents in production today

🧠 One key idea: Not only is Agile a must, but since AI is evolving so quickly, there’s often a need to revisit the technology stack DURING project development.

P.S. A Sneak-Peak at Bloom – Latticework’s Agentic OS for “Future Brands”

We also gave attendees a first glimpse of Bloom, which exposes a team of specialized AI agents - from Financial Analyst, to Brand Strategist, to Media Planner - that talk to each other to turn your raw ideas take root and grow.

Think of it as an operating system for creativity, market fit, and cultural resonance, where AI isn't just a tool, but a co-creator.

If you want to test drive, please reach out to me directly and we’ll set you up.

Our next event is tentatively scheduled for late July/early August.

Please reach out if you’d like to participate. Or register your interest on our Meetup page.

See you all soon.
